The Tuscany invites you to ample walks and much fun in the water like for example at the "Lago di Bolsena", Lago di Trasimeno at several riversides and at the ocean.

Some tips and information for our dog friends

In order to enter the Tuscany your four-legged friends needs an EU domnestic animal pass including a valid anti-rabies inoculation. In addition to that you have to verify the identy of your dog through a microchip or a tattoo. Moreover you have to carry a lead and a muzzle.
This is a rather necessary formality; we didn't make any negative experience with our dog Paula. 

In restaurants there are no dogs allowed (according to law), but if there are seats outside the restaurants often make exceptions. We had no problems, we always take Paula with us.
But in every case you should ask the owner before you decide to eat there.

At open beaches it is often allowed to bring your dog with you, but they have to leashed – to go in the water is not allowed for them.
Most of the time it is the proper commune who has the final say.
Especially in august it is possible that dogs are not allowed at open beaches, too (august is the holiday month of the italians).

A beach especially for dogs exist at Marina di Grosseto, between Le Marze and Fuori Rotta. A little bit away, in Piombino, a beach area Baratti, in the beach area Loc. Perelli. By Livorno the beach of del Felciaio, close to Rotonda dell’Ardenza and at the communal beach of Ardenza by Cecina and Castagneto Carducci.
In Albinia exist a declared beach for dogs (Beach Albinia).

Even in the heartland it will not be boring for your dog.
Many cats, dogs, sheeps (Attention: ticks tend to affix at your dogs fur, i made good experience with the collar "Scalibur"), by night sometimes a wild boar - and everything else.
Then there are also the numerous becks in which it is possible to anneal.
